Hormone therapy for the female partner
Many hormonal disorders can result in reduced fertility. Often a purely medicinal treatment, or hormonal assistance for the natural cycle, is enough to rectify this impaired fertility.
For women whose ovulation is absent, it is possible to stimulate follicle growth using hormone treatment. This is administered in the form of tablets or by injection.
Once ovulation has been triggered (with an injection of human chorionic gonadotropin [hCG]), a pregnancy can be attempted.
